Trent “T-Dog” Sarafincin

Trent Sarafinchan is the voice and one guitar behind the energy of Outlast, bringing a lifelong passion for classic rock to every performance. His musical journey began at just six years old, singing along to Hall & Oates and KISS with a hairbrush microphone in hand. By his teens, inspired by his father’s playing in a local polka band, Trent picked up the electric guitar and never looked back.

A natural talent, he was soon teaching his high school guitar class and went on to study music at Grant MacEwan College in 1990. Though classically trained, it was the stage that truly called to him. Over the years, Trent played in a variety of cover bands, performing the very songs that fueled his love of music—tracks by Rush, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Triumph, and Black Sabbath. A highlight of his early career was meeting Triumph’s Rik Emmett while attending college.

Today, as the lead vocalist and guitarist for Outcast, Trent channels that same fire and devotion into every show. His gritty vocals, tight guitar work, and deep love for rock ‘n’ roll are the heartbeat of the band. Whether it’s a packed venue or an intimate gig, Trent delivers the music he grew up with—loud, authentic, and straight from the soul.
